Default DNA Paternity Test Results
My boyfriend says he brought my daughter to have a DNA test done to see if he was the father. I asked him when he would recieve the results and he told me he had to call the place to get the results. So, last Tuesday he calls me and says that he called to get the results and the baby is not his.

Whether my daughter is or isn't his is not my question here.

Something doesn't sound right about this to me because I can't imagine being able to CALL and get the results. Wouldn't the results have to be either given in person or mailed to them?

Also, I would have thought the lab who did the test would need my consent since he and I are not married and I am the custodial parent.

I haven't actually seen the results so I get the feeling he's lying to me about having a test done.

Thoughts?

Default Paternity - DNA Test Results
These days, a DNA paternity test is ordinarily done by cheek swab. It may well be that he had a test performed, and got the results by phone. They will provide a written report, and you may want to ask your boyfriend to provide you with a copy (assuming that he actually had a test performed). Another issue, even if there was a test, is whether the DNA samples submitted were actually from your boyfriend or your baby.

If you think he is lying, you can commence a paternity action, get a court-ordered test, and have an official answer on the issue of his paternity.
