Default Penalty for forgery
My girlfriend signed my name on my 401k check that I had got sent to me in the mail. The amount was around 2300. She then deposited it into a joint checking account with both our names but took 300 when she made the depoist then put the rest into her savings account then spent it I do not think she every has been an any other trouble before. If I turn her in will she go to jail and how long

Why would you want to turn her in? As Aaron said punishments vary but she would probably just get probation, fines and restitution.
