Question Removing or Addressing an Old Warrant
warrant in state of florida, failure to appear in court over a domestic violence matter... 10 years ago. Relocated family interstate for emplyment reasons shortly after charges laid.. never attended the hearing.

offender would like to clear up matter, but afraid of conviction on record, also concerned about international travel ipmlications.

is there any advice offered that would encourage to pursue to addressing this issue, there are no other offenses. offender still maintains innocence, but clearly that is not the issue here... aslo a security clearance is at risk in current employment if clearing this matter results in a crimal charge. Probably nothing to be done about that but would like some advice or opinion regardless. totally unfamiliar about the legal process. Thankyou anyone for you comments.. have read others and seems to be logical(if not always sympathetic)

Default Re: Removing or Addressing an Old Warrant
Consider retaining a criminal defense lawyer in the county where the warrant was issued, to try to work out a deal and resolution of the charge before going back.
