Visa Stamping and Shoplifting

I want to get my visa stamped without any risks.I have an arrest on my record,though the case got expunged.What can I do?What are the chances that my visa stamping might get rejected or delayed because of it?

I recon that you are a permanent resident. It matters what the charges were, and whether any admission was obtained from you. Were the charges dismissed or conviction expunges/vacated?
