Default Assault Causing Bodily Injuries and Family Violence Charges in Texas
Texas. I am a first time offender and have no record at this time. My concerns are if I will go to jail or not. I have an attorney but do not have a relationship with him where I can talk to him though I have paid him 9000.00. I have been charged with assault causes bodily injury and family violence in Texas.

I am also out of a job and looking for work and have my background check failed at one company due to the pending charges.

This is a class A misdemeanor and I am 53. No previous record. What are my chances of jail time. What are my chances of getting this off my record

Thank you

A: No one can answer those questions.

What statute are you being charged under? What was the injury you caused and to whom was it against?

i do not know the statute. To my knowledge I did not harm anyone. There was some pushing and shoving and both of us fell down, but not hard.

So I am in the dark here. The person was my mother's caregiver. The caregiver was 59.

Thanks
