No Proof of Insurance on an Insured Car

I was given a ticket for driving without proof of insurance after being cought speeding in San Antonio, TX. The car is insured under my fathers name and the car and everything else is under his name. My name is not on the insurance policy.
Anything I can do to get out of it completly or atleast get off easy?
Any helpful advice or info?

Often, these tickets are reduced or dismissed upon your documenting to the prosecutor that you in fact had insurance.

Yes, and since the vehicle was insured, your name not being on the proof is not a problem.

Edit: UNLESS you are specifically excluded from coverage on that policy/vehicle.
