I am purchasing a car, but don't have good credit. I have an associate who has agreed to finance the car for me in their name. I need to draw up a contract that protects both us. I need to know what items I need to/should include in the contract.
There are lots of ways you can protect yourself; but anything you write would leave your friend completely vulnerable if you default. It would be simpler to have your friend cosign for you.
Keep in mind that if your associate (friend) co-signs on the loan & you default, as co-signer your friend would be responsible for the debt. They are doing you a favor by co-signing - do everything possible not to default on this loan.
