16 yr old wants mom but dad won't allow

i'm divorced after 26 yrs..... he got a secret (fla ) divorce (lied about knowing my whereabouts) and was granted sole custody of our 16 yr old....biggest lie was not telling judge he had pled nolo to molesting his other daughter and served 5 yrs of 10 yr probation and that he was an upstanding citizen and parent......my 16 yr old wants to live with me (new mexico) but he won't allow it just to hurt me.....i have no money for an attorney....i don't know what to do....i thought about emancipation but i was reading where both parents have to petition the court and i know he would never go for that and i wouldn't have money for that anyway....any suggestions? she will be 17 in december.

You should petition for a modification of custody. If you can't afford a lawyer, consider seeking help from legal aid or representing yourself.
