Default Stolen Wedding Ring
My husband attacked me and nearly broke my finger off to get my wedding ring.
Can I file criminal charges against him ?
The police were called and a report was filed stating what happened. He still has the ring. I have evidence to identify the ring and its value.
I did not go to the hospital. This happened in california

I just read your other threads. Sounds like you have an on-going situation where your need your own counsel.

You have a 6 year old daughter who must be very confused. You sound confused. You want your daughter to have financial support but your not acting like a responsible person right now. How are you going to present this situation to a court?

You have been married a month and now divorcing. A family law attorney in California might advise you regarding how to terminate the marriage in a way to that will help you establish support for your daughter.

You are giving too much information about your back and forth decisions regarding paternity and support for your daughter. You need to be represented by an attorney.

Regarding the situation with your finger, if I were in your situation I would have a medical evaluation to make sure my finger had not been fractured or the joint dislocated. Having that documentation may be useful if there is case for abuse.

Find an attorney.

You state that you filed a police report. If a prosecutor determines that there is a case, a prosecutor will authorize criminal charges.
