Default Defaulted on a Car Loan, but Now Live in Another Country
I am from the US and moved to Canada for school a few months ago. Because of financial reasons, I stopped making payments on my car loan. Will the car get repossessed in Canada or only if I drive it back to the US? Will this be considered a stolen vehicle?

What does your loan agreement provide, in the event that you wish to move to another country?

If they know your address in Canada, they WILL reposses the car. They will outsource a repo company in canada. This happened to me. The bank tought my car was in New York State, but i had moved to Las Vegas. I fell behind on payments and within a week of the final phone call demanding payment, my car was GONE. They will take the car if they know where it is in Canada.
