Default Can't Get Car Back After Repo
Any advise would be greatly recommended.

I had my jeep repo'ed saturday morning and the repo place wont release it to me because the loan is in my dads name. my dad is the only one on the bank loan and he lives in NY. i live in Nevada and i have possession of the car. i want my car back but the repo said they cant and wont under any circumstances release it to anyone except who is on the bank loan. what am i suppose to do now?

The car title has my name on it and is registered in the state of nevada under my name, not dads. So bottom line..... the bank has my dad as the only owner, but its registered under my name????

my dad cant take a flight to las vegas just to get this car picked up .... there has to be something i can do. please help with advise.

Ask if they will release the car to somebody with a power of attorney from your father.

Cant wire the dough because no one except the person on the loan can PICK UP and retrieve the car. The bank is now saying the only way someone other then the owner can pick it up is if the balance is paid in full, over 5 grand, which we dont have. They said if only the past due and repo fees were paid ...... then NO ONE CAN pick up the car except the person listed on the loan. is this typical?

Why wont they allow the owner to authorize someone else to retrieve the vehicle??? It just seems like we are being messed with, or someone isnt telling the whole truth.
