    Dear MR. UY,

I am Adams Wong, an attorney at law. A deceased client of mine, by name Mr Ronald Uy, who here in after shall be referred to as my client, died as the result of a heart-related condition on the 11 November 2003. His heart condition was due to the death of all the members of his family in the Gulf Air Flight Crashes in Persian Gulf Near Bahrain Aired August 23,
    2000 - 2:50 p.m. ET as reported on:http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP.../23/bn.08.html
Since then i have made several enquiries to his embassy here to locate any of my late clients extended relatives for over two year now, this has also proved unsuccessful.

After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to track his last name over the internet, to locate any member of his family hence I contacted you. I have contacted you to assist in distributing the money left behind by my client before it is confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where this deposit valued at Eight Million Five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars ( US$ 8.5) million dollars is lodged. The bank has issued me a notice to contact the next of kin, or the account will be confiscated within the next twenty one official working days.

My proposition to you is to seek your consent to present you as the next-of-kin and beneficiary of my named client, since you have the same last name, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. Then we can share the amount on a mutually agreed-upon percentage. All legal documents to back up your claim as my client's next-of-kin will be provided. All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us see this transaction through. This will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law. If this business proposition offends your moral values, do accept my apology. I must use this opportunity to implore you to exercise the utmost indulgence to keep this matter extraordinary confidential, whatever your decision, while I await your prompt response. Please contact me at once to indicate your interest. I will like you to acknowledge the receipt of this e-mail as soon as possible via my private Emailbarr_adamswong@hotmail.com) and treat with absolute confidentiality and sincerity. I get these all the time, sometimes it is claiming to be a job offer, some are claiming that I am somehow inherting some money from someone who died, and some claim that I have won foreign lotteries.

They are all scams, every single one wants you to cash their checks and turn around and send them $$ that they claim is for the taxes on your winnings, or they say they can't cash the checks where they are so if you cash it here you can keep part of it as a commission and then send them the rest.

It's all bogus, people are getting royally screwed doing these things because they cash the check, turn right around and wire money to the scam artists (they tell you it has to be done within a certain time period) and then the bank discovers the check was no good, and the person you cashed it is left owing their bank a lot of money.
