Emancipation in College

I am a college student and I was wondering if having my parents emancipate me would qualify me for more federal grants, they aren't providing any money for me to go to college but because they have such an expensive house and a high income I don't even qualify for any time of financial aid except for loans so I am having to pay off all of my debt. My grandma co-signed on a one year loan for me and she will co-sign on another for next year as well, but having the loan payments increase by $200+ each year isn't going to be good. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me in this situation.

It is unlikely to help, but you can always inquire with the college's financial aid office.

My thought was that if I were emancipated that the only income i would ave to report would be my own which would be like $6/hour for 16 hours a week if I work on campus and that wouldn't be nearly enough money to not qualify for some kind of financial aid. Do the aid offices still take into account your parents income even if the student is emancipated?
