Caught Stealing

Im 17 years old and i got caught stealing at KOHL's in Massachusetts.. the merchandise was equal to 186 dollars.. they said i would have to go to court.. is this true? and what could happen to me?

Your parents will have to go with you, you may get community service, probation something like that. I'd suggest you talk to a lawyer first, it might not be as bad as what your folks are putting you through.
