Default Montana Extradition Laws for a Warrant From Another State

Hi. I moved out to Montana over 6 months ago. I was on probation in Michigan for larceny by conversion (Over $200, less than $1000). It was a misdemeanor. I was given 1 month to pay all of my fines. I did not get them paid off, and they are still not paid off. I am slowly making payments on them. My probation officer knows I am in Montana. I had kept in contact with him until I was released from probation. (Which I have been released, even though the fines are not paid off. They couldn't leave me on probation for any longer.) I recently found out the judge issued a warrant due to failure to pay off my fines, for 42 days in jail. I am wondering about the likeliness of Michigan wanting to extradite me on this warrant, and what will happen once I have all my fines paid off, will it go away. I have an infant daughter, and don't want this to get out of hand, as I am a single mom.

It's exceptionally unlikely that you will be extradited, but you need to take some responsibility for your life and actions and get this resolved.
