Default Post-Majority Child Support After Adult Child Moves from California to Connecticut

MY daughter who is currently 17 and will be 18 in a few months plans to move back with her mom in Connecticut when she turns 18 from my home in California. 18 is the age of majority here in California so I cannot stop her.
In Connecticut I just read an article that the Governor signed into law child support now stops at 19. Can her mother get a custody order or child support order started in this situation for an adult who is emancipated by reaching the age of majority in another state just so she can collect child support? I believe I have read that for one, for CT to have any jurisdiction she would have to be a resident for at least 6 months
and also under UIFSA laws it would pertain to the state the minor lived in
where the previous court order was for custody. Is this correct?
    Thank you.

This is presently under a California order, with the California support order terminating at age 18? If so, make sure support is terminated at age 18 consistent with the order, and that should be that.
