    Default Judgement for Child support

I have been trying to get my child support records corrected for years!!! I have a case in WPB florida - the court system shows my c.s. as 38,OOO and change this is 3years of arrearage, court costs, etc. I guess. My wife contacted child support in Tallahassee Florida and asked the analyst to do a review because we showed arrearage as 19,000. Tall. called us back and indicated the correct arrearge is 19,000 but the court has a judgment which collects interest i guess which makes our total 27,000. Well I am happy that was reduced, but how do i get the judgment discharged. We had a modification 3 years ago and it was only indicating the 19,000, my current support will end next year.

If all of this is owned to your ex-spouse, and she is willing to forgive part or all of the balance (or the part you and she agree is an overcharge) you should be able to do that by entering a consent order. You may wish to get help from a lawyer, to draft and enter an acceptable order.
