Default Getting Credit Report Entries "Zeroed Out" and "Unrated"

I have spoken with a company who says that they can do credit repair. Now, of course I was generally very skeptical, because I can do my own credit disputing. However, this company claims to be able to have your bankrupcty and all items declared under it "zeroed out" and "unrated". According to this company (who is actually the firm of a California Bar certified attorney), if your account is listed as 'unrated', it doesn't factor into your credit score. If this is the case, does anyone know how I, the layperson, can request to have this done myself.
    Please respond.

It sounds like a load of bunkum to me.
