Can You Set Up An LLC Without a Lawyer or CPA

I am new to this forum and I find it very resourful.

I am in Dallas and I am in the process of setting up an LLC. I have studied the state statute about LLC and process to set it up. I also have obtained all the forms needed.

Can I set this entity up myself or do I need to hire an attorney or CPA.

I will appreciate any comments.

There is no requirement that you have to hire a lawyer or CPA to create the LLC for you.

But, then, don't expect everything to work right if you forgo a lawyer and a CPA.

Does any body know an asset protection lawyer or CPA in the Dallas area that could recommend? The reason I am asking is because I was told that very few lawyers and CPAs are really savy in the subject, although they advertise to specialize in that field.
