Question Losing Claim on the Marital Home

Is it true that leaving your marital home while the divorce is not yet final may run the risk of losing your claim on the home. I read this from an article on the internet. I'm staying now at my parents house because i don't want to stay with my husband anymore. We are currently going through a contested divorce. I need some advice.

How long have you been married?
    Any kids?
How far apart are your incomes from each other?
Did you buy the house together, or was it bought before the marriage?
How long have you been out of the house?
How long have you had the house?
Are you still contributing to the mortgage?

As you can see there are a lot of factors involved. You need to consult an attorney.
