Does anyone have a ballpark figure on what percent of defamation/slander cases actually result in a monetary judgement for the plaintiff?

That will likely vary by state and country. Also, as few incidents result in lawsuits, many lawsuits are brought on multiple claims, and most cases settle or are otherwise resolved before trial, often confidentially, it would be difficult to get a meaningful statistic.
