    Question Grandchildren and Grandparent's Assets

    Hello I live in pennsylvaina, my father died when i was 5 and my brother was 10, I am now 35 and my brother 40 ,our fathers parents never really bothered with us until we were of age to go see them, 2 years ago the grandmother died and last year grandfather was put into a retirement home by our uncle (dads brother) apperently he is in charge of all of my grandfathers assests and took sole control of all proprerty. when my brother went to visit this summer like everyother year before in new jersey he was thrown off of the property when we questioned this action uncle stated "we don't know what he wants" this has never happened before but now that grandparents are not around he's being very mean. my question is " as the children of a deceased parent and only survivors of this parent are we entitled to any of these assets that he would of gotten if still alive"? we also learned that any letters we sent to him we interceped by the uncle and his new wife read and thrown out never given to grandfather. he (grandfather) asked and was given our and our children's ss# which they were probably taken from him also. what rights do we have in this matter?
    sincerely;

    Your grandfather is in a retirement home, which presumably doesn't interfere with letters, phone calls or family visits. Have you investigated to determine his mental state, and his wishes?

    we just found out which retirement home he was in, also we were always told we would be in the will but since the uncle is now in charge of everything we think grandfather has been minulapted or scammed into doing things differently since one of the assets is propertydown the shore currently worth a small fortune , honestly i would to bring up a suit against the uncle for my fathers portion of the assests because he has become so mean and greedy and because he made my 40 yr old brother cry by mean thing he has said
