I received a speeding ticket where the officer said I was doing 38 (in a 25). Nowhere on the ticket is it specified how the officer figured I was doing 38. The officer was parked on the side of the road, facing perpendicular to the road. On the bottom of the ticket are forms of equipment that the officers can use to determine speed (helicopter, pace, speed measurement device, and EBTD). None of them are checked. Should any of these be checked off, and if they weren't, is that reason enough to beat it in court?
