Exclamation Civil Summons on Repo in North Carolina
i live in nc and received a civil summons from gmac on a car from 1997, we have no money to pay back the remaining balance. is this their way of renewing the judgement? what do i write for the answer and can they seize by bank account i do not work.

i have currently a judgement from gmac for the repo of a car. in sept the 10 yrs will be up so i was wondering them sending papers they are trying to renew judgement because it is new case number. i need to know how to word my reply

It is a reasonable inference that they are attempting to renew the judgment. Read the papers they served upon you, and see what they say.

lawsuit is being instituted within 10 yrs from the date of the original judgement and states that due and payable is the amount of $5,035 which is what the difference was when car was sold. they also attached the original judgement. my thing is i have no income i am a stay at home mom and nothing is in my name how do i need to respond

There are normally instructions on how to reply, and time limits for replying, in the materials served upon you.

it just says submit in writting an answer doesn't say exactly how and suggestions anything i should put to make them not renew judgement since i do not have anything of value.
