Injured in an accident caused by an uninsured driver

Hi,

I was involved in an automobile accident on June 29th, 2005.

My friend and I,(im the driver) were on our way to the Convinient
Store. As I went to make a left on a GREEN arrow the completly
runs the red light, slamming into the passenger side. My car got
totalled, I fractured my left elbow, whiplash, bruises on my legs.
and the passanger was not able to move for about 2 days.. her
body tenssed. she also had a lot of bruises. The Police arrived,
took the report down, in which the guy that hit me stated to have
insurance. I hired an attorney, that by the way DOES NOT want to
work on my case anymore, after finding out the guy had NO
insurance. He made a false statement. Now im stuck with no car, in
very bad pain on my left arm, mainly my elbow. My passenger is
stuck with a $900.00 bill from the ambulance. I have not been
gettin paid at work since the day of the accident. This is really
frustrating. Its just not fair that He can get away with soo much.

WHAT CAN I DO? i live in CA. I need legal advice. Does anyone
think theres a lawyer out there that will take my case? This is very
frustrating, and painful. Please someone I need advice.

Your lawyer presumably wants to get out of the case because he doesn't think that the defendant has any money and, without insurance coverage, that any judgment obtained would not be paid. The only real way to find out if another lawyer will take over the case is to call around to area law firms.

If you have uninsured motorist coverage through your own insurance policy, you may be able to obtain some relief through that coverage.
