    Default Land Locked?

    My Father in law purchased property in 1968 in Los Angeles County CA. He is now deceased and left the property to his children. The property has been reported by some to be Land Locked. My Question is how could it be land locked, since this property was his residence and has had access for 39 years?

    Default Re: Land Locked?

    Possibilities include,
    • It's not actually landlocked;
    • He had access via an easement; or
    • He had access by trespassing on somebody else's land.

    The only way to know is to investigate the situation.
