No Sales Commission Paid During Short-Term Leave

I work in Pennsylvania. I was recently on short-term disability for 28 days. My paycheck consisted of 70% of my pay with the first week being unpaid due to the short-term disability policy. I also receive a sales commission monthly. My sales commission earned during the 28 days of no work is being witheld by my Company. They state that "because I was no here, I am not entitled to this money". There is no current policy in place from my Company stating this. Sales made during my absense was from work done prior to my absense. Many times a sale takes weeks to be completed by the purchaser after my call, visits, etc. Any feedback, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

This is entirely a matter of company policy. The law in your state does not provide any mandate for pay during a period of short term disability.
