You guys know your stuff on here so hlep me out my husband pled no contest to communication threats on his own waived a lawyer, got 45 days suspended and 1 year probation , after court he asked the judge to do active time instead, and now has sent in an appeal? can this be ? How do you appeal your own decision?

He has the right to appeal his sentence. If the sentence was one he requested, it is unlikely that he will prevail.

See if the prosecutor's office has a "victim's rights" officer or some equivalent person who will speak to you about your various questions.

You guys on here seem to know more than even the ADA, what kind of justice is this and a waste of tax money for an appeal on a no contest plea he requested. Plus the clerks office said he has already served the 45 days, yet they dont even know the answer, but it seems retarded to me that a judge would let him appeal this?

When somebody has an appeal by right, a judge can't stop him from exercising that right.

How can that be when you picked no contest your appealing your own decision? You werent found guilty or not.
