uh, get a shovel and fill up the hole.

Really now, is this really this big of deal?

btw; the word is "plumber" . It comes from the latin word "plumbum" which means "lead". Lead was used for the pipes in ancient Roman times, and even into fairly modern times but since has been replaced with newer materials.

Yes it really is a big deal because I payed him to put a septic tank in and to burrie it and he is not keeping up to his end of the deal I had to when i bought this house. I cant get out there and do it myself because of health reasons. The point of the matter is I payed him and he is not doing what he said he would do

Actually, you paid $500 towards a service that is worth over $1000.

I guess the bigger problem would be; what is he legally obligated to do? If the house sale went through as is, then I would suspect he is not obligated to do anything.

My point is, you are getting a lot of work for $500 but you are now complaining about it because it is taking longer than you think it should. If you paid full price to a regular plumbing contractor , I would have sympathy. You hired a relative at a very discounted price. Is it really worth getting into an argument and having the bad blood because of a septic tank?

If you feel you must do something, hire another person to do the work and sue Unc for that cost. You might win, but then again, you might not. A small calims court often seeks an equitable solution and truthfully, he has already done more than $500 worth of work so as far as equitable goes, you already have your moneys worth.

What is his excuse for not completing the work? Is he refusing altogether, or just putting you off? Maybe tell him to give you back $100 or so and hire someone else to shovel dirt. Maybe you can get him to do free work on something else down the road - so maybe not piss him off too much.

She's also on his case about his having left tools in a shed. I suspect he's not in the mood to go out of his way to help her.

He is obligated as the builder of this house for 30 days after closing it has now been 3.5 mos since the tank went bad further more leave the bad blood angle out of it, it is business. The bottom line is he half-a*sed this job as with the shed.
