Insurance Claim Denied

I am writing from the state of MA. My boyfriend was driving my car when we got into an accident and rolled my car on Sunday evening that killed my puppy and totaled my car. I filed a claim to my insurance saying I was driving so they would cover it.. keep it all simple. My insurance co. then told me that since I didn't get a CARCO inspection when I switched insurance co's. in 2006 that my collision and liability insurance was canceled and they were not covering my car. This is a 2005 Pontiac and I have 5000.00 loan on this vehicle. Will my boyfriend be able to file a claim with his insurance for my accident now since it was all his fault to begin with or is their a way to challenge my insurance co. so they will pay?

you can try to submit the claim but, be careful. You committed fraud by claiming you were the one driving. If his insurance happens to talk to your insurance, they will know you already tried to submit a claim with you as the driver. You may be setting yourself up for a whole lot of trouble. If he had insurance, why didn't you submit it to his insurance in the first place?
