Default Can Collecting Worker's Comp Prevent Mortgage Loan?
I have been at my current job for 1 month. I am having arm problems related to the work station setup. I went to a physician and he deemed it the fault of the employer and said it was directly related. My fiance and I are in the process of purchasing a house. Will this affect the outcome of the final closing process? Will workers comp keep it from happening in anyway?
Thank you so much!

Default Purchasing a House & Workers' Compensation
You mean, if the lender decides that you might not be able to afford your mortgage payments?

We could still afford the payments under workmans comp even at 60% pay but I didn't know if that happening would hold it up or if they could keep the house from us.

I am NOT looking forward to telling my boss what the doc said. UGH

Default Qualifying for Loan
I don't know if your lender would look upon workers' compensation benefits differently from regular wages. Their primary concern, presumably, will be that you will still be able to afford the loan.
