Warranty 'Bait And Switch' Problem

i purchased a van from a dealer and i also purchased a warranty for 4yrs. or 60,000 miles now three months later they call me and tell me that the warranty isn't available for my vehicle but they will give me a 2yr. or 24,000 mile warranty for the same price. i think they should honor the original warranty it was their mistake not mine. i live in michigan.

Who told you this? The dealership or the warranty company?

This, I assume, was a used van?

I would be surprised if the problem is that a warranty is not available, as opposed to their accidentally undercharging you for the warranty.
