Default Seller's Responsibilities After Sale of Real Estate in California

I am in the process of selling property in Los Angeles. At the last minute the buyer's dad enters the picture with a ton of requests and questions. The dad happens to be a real estate attorney in another state.

My question is: After we close escrow and the deed is in the buyer's name, can they sue me for anything to do with the property? Am I responsible for the property (a condo) after the deed transfer? I have not misled them at all, I just have a sinking feeling that this deal will not be over after escrow closes.

Can they sue you? Yes, they can sue you. Will the suit be meritorious? I would have no way of knowing.
