Calls Over Collection Of Old Credit Card Debts

Between 189 and 1994 my ex husband decided to quit working and ran up many credit card bills, then never paid. we had joint accounts and ones in our separate names. He emotionaly forced me to sign many credit cardsby threatening me. I have never worked and I am a senior 63 years old and not well. Now I live entirely on a social security check, no other source of income. Now collection agencies RJM and NCsomething or other bought these old debts and are trying to make me pay. I have nothing to pay with and never will have. Can they take away my furniture, car 1994, and my posessions? I have no fmily to help me and I rent an apartmnt.
I have no proof that he forced me to sign.
They were for verything, rent, groceries, utility bills, food, doctors, prescripion and lots of cash advances they totl about $40,000 or more by now. They occured in California and Florida and OHio. I have no papers, no records so I dont know where they were or for what amounts or what cards thy were on as he kept and controlled it all.

Hang up on them when they call....do not say anything to them. They are junk debt collectors that know the statute of limitations has run out on their ability to actually sue you for payment. Their threats are empty threats. Doesn't mean you don't still owe them the money, but they cannot force you to pay them in any way, they cannot take your possessions or garnish your wages.
