Default Out-of-State Warrant for Failure to Apear, and Driver's License Suspended

about six months ago I was arrested in VA for driving on suspended 4th charge. I got my license back several weeks later, but I got a job offer in CA. 2 weeks before the court date. so instead of going to court and jail, I took the job. Now being several months later. My old employer has told me the sherrifs office has been by twice trying to pick me up, and my mother has told me the same. Wil they come get me in CA? Will the warrant expire? I do not currently drive in CA, but in time will I be able to get a CA license? Will I ever be able to go back and not have to go to jail?

Currently I am thinking if they can't or do not come and extradite me, I will hire a VA lawyer and see if he can clear up the mess.

    What should I do?

Arrest warrants never expire. And CA may or may not decide not to give you a license if you're suspended in VA.

Yes, the charge was already filed. You chose to flee instead of getting the problem resolved.

You certainly can - it was your choice to leave the state & now there is a warrant out for you.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
