I went out last night, and after leaving the bar, discovered to my horror that my car wasn't where I parked it. I was parked in front of a metered space on El Cajon blvd in San Diego, and I'm positive that I was legally parked. I called the police, and they said that my car hadn't been towed by them, and hadn't been registered by any of the private firms. Since there wasn't glass on the ground or anything like that, I really think it HAD to have been towed.
Is it possible that a private tow company towed it for some reason or another, and is it legal for them to impound it without any sort of notification over the weekend?
