Bench Warrant and Getting a Driver's License

if you've never had a drivers license and are about to take the test, and you just found out you have a bench warrant in one state...can you get a license in another... basically, is it possible to get a license with a bench warrant:?:

basically a friend has a warrant for failure to appear to court for receiving stolen property, after the prelim, they became homeless and the only way to get back on their feet was to relocate to another state. Now that they're doing better they want to get their licenses, keep in mind that they never had a license before in any state. Should they try and get the license or if by going to get the license will they be arrested? Are the DMV's computer symstems linked to the police criminal record systems?

Your friend should look into resolving the warrant and charge in the other state.

oh ok, still. are you able to get a license if you have a bench warrant for another state

If the driver's license is suspended in the other state, it is likely that the suspension will quickly catch up with him if he tries to obtain a new driver's license.

If I have a warrent from MI and I move to CA b4 the warrent takes an effect, will CA know and what if i get stopped will they know then?
