Default Assault and battery on a police officer
My husband was charged with assault and battery on police officer, drunk in public, and obstruction of justice. What type of fine and or jail time are we looking at?

Default Battery of Police Officer
That depends upon his criminal history, and the specific charges he faces. With an assault on a police officer, some period of incarceration is common.

Given the seriousness of the charges, your husband should consult a criminal defense lawyer. The lawyer can evaluate your husband's likely sentence under your state's laws and sentencing guidelines.

I have had people serve 90 days for spitting on me. It's battery on a peace officer and they tend to take it pretty serious in San Diego County.
