Biological father died;Unsure what to do

Hi, I just found out that my father passed last week. I only met him once. We did a blood test when I was 18 when my mother filed a complaint for paternity and it was positive. I don't remember much of that, except that I only got $4000.00 when I thought I was getting 18 years of back support. I don't know if there was anything signed that may have waived my rights to future inheritance. (i'm looking into that now)
Anyway, he is divorced ('97) and has 2 other sons, all of us with different mothers. I'm not sure what kind of will/estate was written up, (nobody told me he died, I just happened to find it) and I'm sure I'm not mentioned. I wasn't in the obit and most of the family doesn't know about me at all.
So now my question... am I entitled to anything? I'm searching the web for info and would appreciate any leads/ideas...
Also, this is all in Macomb county if that makes a difference.

You may be eligible for something, under the laws of the "pretermitted heir", laws which are meant to protect the inheritance of people whom the testator "forgets" to include in a will. Given that the other heirs usually oppose any such claim, I suggest you discuss your situation with a lawyer who handles contested estate matters in the state where the estate is being probated, so you can find out what rights you have and take the steps to protect them.
