Statute of Limitations for Workers Comp Medical Treatment

Working for McDonalds in Indiana I suffered a knee and back injury during a fall at work. I filed for W. Comp. and was treated for approx. 2 months during which time I was still working with a knee brace. The W.C. doctor informed me that I should have surgery to correct the damage. When I told him to go ahead with the surgery, after he submitted the paperwork to W. C. he told me they would not perform the surgery. I did not sign off but somehow they took me out of the system and since then, I have had to pay for my own pain medication and I'm still wearing a knee brace. My knee has gotten worse and I want to know what I can do to get this situation resolved. I now live in Florida and am still working for the McDonalds Corp. Can this case be transferred from Indiana to Florida or must I get an attorney and fight them?

Realistically speaking, you will need to get help from a lawyer in Indiana. If your benefits are restored you may be able to find a Florida lawyer who will accept payment through Indiana workers comp, but you have an Indiana comp case so your benefits will come through that state.
