Who Pays Child Support After Change Of Custody For Only One Child

My 13 year old wants to live with her father for a little while. Her father is in the rear of over $12,000 in child support. If my daughter goes to live with him, will I then have to pay child support to him for our daughter? I believe the only reason he wants my daughter is so he can stop sending payments to me or to get his payments reduced based on one child, our son. Though I'm not sure how it works.
Our son wants to stay with me. Their father currently pays child support payments to me in the amount of $346 a month which is sporadic. Any advice would be appreciated.
