Wisconsin Emancipation Procedure

Hello.

I understand that emancipation in WI is only possible for a person above the age of 18 but for the exceptions provided in the WI state statute, i.e. Married minor or if the minor joins the armed forces. (Correct me if I am wrong)

What is the relief for a person who has just turned 17, and is in an abusive situation. At 17, can they get a permission from their parents and then apply for emancipation? While one parent supports them till they get a job?

Are they eligible to leave their parents home as and when he/she turns 18??

what is the procedure for emancipation in Wisconsin.Where can I find this information.

Once you turn 18 you are a legal adult and leave for any reason at any time. If abuse is happenning call CPS
