Default Determining The Identity Of My Birth Parents

I have been telling this story on a few forums trying to find out information so I will make this short and sweet.

The doctor who delivered me gave me to his sister instead of going through an adoption agency or government sponsored group for child placement.

His sister had her ovaries removed due to cancer several years earlier in a Navy hospital and so was never able to conceive.

The household I was moved into was terrible with a long history of family abuse and mental disorder.

I have just recently been medicated enough to get my life together (ADHD - my record is 46 jobs in 3 years but I probably forgot a few) enough to have a family much less follow up on this.

The doctor in question refuses to give me any information concerning my blood relatives or medical history. I had spoken to him directly 10 years ago.

I have been recently diagnosed with extreme arthritis (spelling bad sorry) and am only 38. I have one child and one on the way and am concerned what medical demons are being hidden.

The circumstances of the incident also give weight to me having siblings.

Other than a direct lawsuit against the doctor the only other way I can figure anything out about my family would be to look over the birth records for my town of birth on the date I was born by the same doctor who delivered me.

    Do I have this right?
    Do I have any rights?
    Do I have any recourse?

    Thank you for your time.

    You spelled arthiritis correctly!
But, I don't have any information for you. Unless you live in small town, you probably can't go looking up birth records. I'm guessing that your birth certificate already has the doc's sister as the parent.
