I have a New York State drivers license and got a speeding ticket in NJ. I know the points won't transfer to NY but is there any benefit in going to court or should I just pay it?

Also the officer never asked me for my registration and the expiration date of my registration written on the ticket was 2008 when in fact it expires in 2007....not sure if this matters but I thought I would mention it.
