I'm a 20 year old mother to a 3 month old.
Recently I've filed for child support. When my son's father recived the letter stating he had child support to pay, my son's grandfather said he was going to file for grandparents' rights.
My son's father has only seen my child once, and that was only because he had bumped into me at the grocery store. HIS father didn't even know my son existed untill he got the letter from the child support office. I was just wondering if grandparents' rights applied in Arkansas (I had heard that they did not). And if there was any way they could possibly get away with this.
This man has a history of physical abuse twards his 2 sons and his ex wife. I don't know what I would do if my baby was taken away from me by a man like that.
