Default Post-Injury Problems With Employer
i was injured on the job, in may, i filed the claim and followed the instuructions for treatment. i am now post op 10 days, my employer will not pay me for time lost from may to sx date, stating i refused light duty, which was never offered... now i finally receive a check for the date of sx to date and enclosed is a letter stating if i do not pay the health insurance premiums normally taken out of my ck; the employer is going to cancel my health insurance on myself and my family
(family coverage) i realize i would probably have to payback premiums, but can they cancel my health ins? :x

If your employer is attempting to wrongfully terminate you due to your work-related injury and workers' compensation leave, you should consult a local workers' compensation lawyer about your situation as soon as possible.

Beyond that, your employer seems to be moving you to COBRA status with your health insurance, which would mean you have to pay both your own share of the premium and the employer's share to continue your coverage. Integrating overlapping benefits - FMLA leave, workers' compensation leave, and COBRA rights, can be tricky - you would be well-served by consulting a lawyer to see if you can compel your employer to continue to contribute to your health insurance costs.
