Default My Workers Comp Benefits Have Been Suspended
I live in Illinois and it has ben quite some time since I have posted.I do have an attorney and I have talked to him,but always hearing things from other people help out.I fell out of my big truck Sept 20th 2006 and received a compression fracture along with 2 and maybe 1 more bulging disc's.I have seen this nuerologist 3 times and now he has released me,even though he said I would have pain the rest of my life. The first time I saw him was for him to send me for tests, like an MRI,catscan, and a bonescan, which in the reports said that I had bulging disc's.The bone scan said the break eas 2 to 3 years old which I had proof from an older MRI from 2 years ago of my middle back that went down to the L1 L2.It showed no break. So the doctor stated that it more than likely happened when I fell.Mind you I have had no low back pain or leg pain before this incident and was able to do everything that I was told to do without any pain. The second time I saw him he ordered physical therapy for 8 weeks, which I did.I dealt with the pain and did what was told of me even though it did not help.I went to see him on the 6th of April and he said there was nothing more he could do and that he was going to release me back to work.I thought doctor's was there to help. The doctor the workers comp company sent me to had a different outlook. He said that he would like physical therapy, but if it doi not help I needed further diagnostic testing, which I don't know what I'm going to do now.I will have no money coming in and I am unable to work. How long can they do this to me.Also the physical therapy people looked at my films and told me that he was no doctor, but knew enough to tell if I would need surgery.I don't want surgery, but if it will help my pain I will do it in a heart beat.He looked at them and told me there was no way this doctor would release me and that I would need surgery.Hoe wrong he was.I want so bad to get this doctor for messing up my life. When I do get into another specialist and he say's I need surgery, can I sue for malpractice?I don't want to come off as sue happy, but I am tired of this pain and he has prolonged it in everyway, from mental to physical abuse.Anyone know how long this is going to take to get my benifits started back up?Please help.

Default Re: My comp benifits have been suspended
I would also like to add to this that I didn't even want to see this doctor and that the doctor I was supposed to see was a week later than this quack.A nurse or whoever she is whom I assume works for the workers comp, simply put coarsed me into going to him,by saying to much time has passed and I need to get into a specialist as soon as possible.I was ready, believe you me.I have never in my life hurt the way I do now.Unable to sleep with my wife and walk for very long periods of time has become times of the past I used to enjoy. How can a doctor release you when he know's by the films that there might be some reason for the pain. The nurse that they hired to go to my doctor's appointments with me said that comp would not pay for another doctor and I asked this doctor to send m to another specialist, which he said he would and she made this statement in front of him. What in the living h*ll is going on here?I'm so sick of this crap all I want is to get fixxed and go on with my life if at all possible.I would also like to add that I have hardly no space left in between L1 and L2,which causes great pain when I walk.
