Warrant Questions For California

I recently recieved a letter from the LASD letting me know I have a warrant for my arrest due to driving without a license. I thought I took care of this matter a while ago, but during those times, I wasnt all their if you know what I mean.
As far as I can remember, they gave me community service which i never went to due to my drug issues back then. Do you think this warrant is because I didnt go to community service, and if I go to court, will they put me in jail for not doing so?
Let me first say, I'm 4 years sober, and all this happened 5-6 years ago.
It's strange that I just get this letter in the mail 2 days ago. Now that im sober, i'm really worried about going back to LA county jail.
Do you have any advice on what i should do, and do you think I'll be doing "County Time"?

A: Yes and yes.

A: Hire a lawyer to negotiate terms of your surrender.

A: Maybe, but you were given that chance once and didn't take it so I doubt the authorities would be willing to work with you. But it never hurts to ask.
