Question Filing for unemployment after workers comp
I'm still in California. I'm on workers comp for impingment of the shoulder. Both of my doctors have said if I return to work doing the same repetitive work I will most likely have the same problem again. Every job at our company is repetitive, that's why I am not working while on WC. When I do get released back to work, can I file for unemployment if I quit to look for a job that's not repetitive?

If you quit of your own accord after being medically released to return to your old job, you won't be eligible for unemployment.

No, although you may be entitled to a partial wage benefit if the new job pays less than the prior job.
