Default My husband passed away at work
My husband past away at work due to a blood clot. Friends are telling me that I should be able to received Workers Compensation. Does anyone know about this? How do I apply? Do I need to have a Lawyer?

I'm sorry for your loss. The blood clot would have to have been caused by him doing his job.

Blondie is right. Even if his job was stressful evidence that the had a history of stroke, high blood pressure, or other cardiovascular disease would work against you.

However, you chances of prevailing may improve greatly if he was doing physically stressful manual labor- like digging a ditch.
